About the Gallery
Quayside Gallery (pronounced “Keyside”) is a wonderful place to see and purchase local art!
As the largest co-op gallery in the Southeast, we feature local artists from Pensacola and the surrounding areas. We have art within many genres including fine art paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, stained glass, etched glass, fine wood working and many, many more.
Staffing is done by unpaid volunteers from Pensacola Artists, Inc.

Our History
Nationally known Quayside Art Gallery faces Plaza Ferdinand at the corner of Zaragoza and Jefferson Streets, in the historic district of Pensacola, Florida. Constructed in 1873, the two-story building was located one block north of the wooden quays, or wharves, use by square-rigged sailing ships. At that time, the building served as the headquarters and social center for the Germania Steam Fire Engine and Hose Company. The building remains much as it was when it housed the Marie Louise, a 2.5 ton horse-drawn steam pumping engine.
Pensacola Artists, Inc. established and still maintains Quayside Art Gallery. PAI is a cooperative organization of more than 200 Artists and Associate Members. Founded in 1973, PAI and its Quayside Gallery are dedicated to fostering and promoting original fine arts and crafts in the West Florida region. Guided tours, free of charge, are available to interested groups and organizations upon request.

(You must live within a sixty-mile radius of Pensacola to be considered for Artist or Student Membership.)
Because Quayside is an artist-owned cooperative, members have responsibilities and obligations, including work requirements and fees and dues, which are incurred with Artist Membership.

Q Membership Basic Requirements
Thank you for your interest in becoming an artist/member at Quayside Gallery! Below are the requirements when becoming a member.
1. Working a shift every week (in other terms 52 shifts a year) or 2 shifts every other week
2. Weekend shifts for new members (Fri/Sat/Sun) then rotating off in seniority order.
3. Joining at least one project outside of the shift (Fair, Market, Plein Air, Workshops, etc.)
4. Attendance at Membership meetings every other month on 2nd Tuesday (even months)
5. Fees include:
a. $35 screening fee
b. $100 initiation fee
c. 10% commission on all sales.
d. Wall/space rental fees vary.
